25 years of providing positive programs to the kids of our local communities

OUR MISSION

The purpose of The Bill Tome Foundation for Kids & Families, Inc. is to enhance the lives of the inner-city youth of our communities. The non-profit organization, run totally by volunteers, seeks to “level the playing field” for these youths by offering financial assistance for back to school clothing and supplies, enrichment and extracurricular activities and summer camps. Through athletic programming, the goal is to keep kids involved in organized activities combined with mentoring and positive role modeling to help them steer clear of the criminal justice system.

The goal is not only to raise funds, but to engage volunteers who can build long term relationships with the children and families we serve.
— Bill Tome, President

WHAT WE DO

By engaging local communities to assist other members of our communities, we can make the world a better place.  The Foundation seeks to become the conduit.  The goal is not only to raise funds but to engage volunteers who can build long term relationships with the children and families we serve.

  • Sports & Athletic Programming
  • Back to School Clothing Program
  • Financial Assistance for Summer Camps
  • Financial Assistance for Extra Curricula Activities
  • Grocery Gift Cards for Families
  • Emergency college tuition assistance

As a grassroots effort, there is no need to search for eligible recipients.  Kids cross the paths of teachers, police officers, social workers and school administrators in the course of a normal day. The Foundation strongly believes that if we can meet the basic needs of children when they are young, the possibility of these kids having a successful future increases dramatically.
